PAOLO PERRONE

Paolo Perrone studied violin with M° Anna Penna and then at the Conservatoire “S. Cecilia” of Rome where he graduated in 1996 in Violin and in 1998 in Chamber Music with M° L. Cerroni. Since 1999 to 2003 he has specialized in violin under the guidance of M° Carlo Chiarappa at Musikhochschule of Italian Switzerland and, since 2008 to 2003, in baroque violin under the guidance of M° Enrico Onofri at the Conservatoire “V. Bellini” in Palermo.
He was the first violin of Quartetto Devet for five years, performing in Italy and abroad. With this ensemble in 2002 he won the First Prize of Chamber Music of “Concorso Internazionale Anemos di Roma” and took part in the European Academy of Quartet, under the guidance of M° H. Beyerle.
In 2005 he entirely devotes himself to the baroque and early classical repertoire and  regularly plays in several important period instruments ensembles (Concerto Italiano, Divino Sospiro, Concert des Nations, Modo Antiquo, Concerto de' Cavalieri, Concerto Romano, Musica Antiqua Latina, Insieme Strumentale di Roma). With them he performs, also as soloist, in the most important venues and early music festivals in Italy and abroad.
He recorded for Naïve, Deutsche Harmonia Mundi, Sony Music, CPO, Fuga Libera, Brillant Classics, RSI, Radio Vaticana, Stradivarius, Rai International, Sky.
