ANTONIO DE SECONDI

Antonio De Secondi graduated with distinction in Rome with F. Ayo and then specialized with S. Accardo and S. Nissel.
For a long time he has been member of I Solisti Italiani and more recently of the Polimnia Ensemble. For the last years he has been dedicating to the performance practice on period instruments, playing both as first violin and soloist with the baroque ensemble Concerto Italiano and recently with Divino Sospiro in Lisbona.
He performed as soloist at the Musikverein in Wien, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Julliard School and Metropolitan Museum of New York, Suntory Hall and Opera City in Tokio, Symphony Hall of Osaka, Teatro Colon of Buenos Aires, London, Bruxelles, Paris, Madrid, Barcellona, Lisbon and in Italy at the Accademia Chigiana, Accademia di S. Cecilia and Accademia Filarmonica in Rome, Turin, Naples, Spoleto etc.
As soloist he recorded for Denon, Astreé, Opus 111, Naive e Chandos, receiving prestigious discographic awards as Diapason d’Or de l’Annèe, 10 di Repertoire,  lo Choc de l’Annèe e il Gramophone Award. He also recorded for RAI, for Tv and Radio in Japan, Spain, England, France, Austria and Belgium.
